Bigger is Better: 2018 is the year of the BBW, that’s big, beautiful wedding cake. Modest two-tier and three-tier cakes are being replaced with eight, nine, and even ten-tier extravaganza’s. These multi-tiered cakes are bringing a whole new meaning to the term “big day”.

Mood Indigo: Moody colors are in, and sweet, soft pastels are out! This year brides are loving dusky blues, moody purples, and bold blacks with dramatic, elegant wedding cakes taking center stage.

Mad about Metallics: Okay, metallics are not exactly a new trend, but they are becoming increasingly popular, from elegant gold leaf applied to a buttercream cake, to over-the-top gold sequins, glamorous gold is going mainstream.

Black is Back: The traditional white wedding cake is falling out of favor as bold brides and grooms embrace the dramatic glamour of an all black cake! We’re not talking Gothic black, but glamorous black!
