Our team just returned from what was undoubtedly one of the biggest cake shows of the year so far, the Soflo Cake and Candy Expo was an incredible experience. With hundreds of cake vendors, competitions, show pieces, classes, demo’s and more…there was plenty to see and do at this year’s show!

Competition
Sachiko Windbiel of Mimi Cafe Union took first place with her “Mermaid Burger” The sculpted piece featured a realistic “faux” burger with mermaid figurine, gum paste fries, and all the fixings. The sculpture was surrounded by mermaids, scurrying away from certain doom!
French Artist, Cecile Baud, took second place with her beautiful Mermaid mommy and babies.
