American Cake Decorating magazine is delighted to announce a new managing editor, AnnMarie Mattila, who will be responsible for editorial direction and content effective immediately.
Based in New York City, AnnMarie is a pastry chef and food content creator focused on the sweet side of life—baking! After graduating from the Institute of Culinary Education, she spent more than a decade as a freelance baker and cake decorator before returning to school to focus on media. She earned her master’s degree in food studies from New York University and began her writing career with Pastry Arts Magazine. She is a co-founder, editor, and recipe developer for Pastry at Home, as well as a freelance writer for other food media outlets. She is thrilled for the opportunity to focus her attention on the highly creative and inspirational world of cake decorating!
She looks forward to bringing new ideas, content, and contributors to the amazing cake community built by ACD. For nearly 30 years, ACD has been the leading cake-decorating and sugar-art magazine in North America, and AnnMarie believes every level of decorator and baker, from beginner to expert, will be able to find the inspiration and resources they need within the pages of each issue.
