AnnMarie Mattila is the Managing Editor at American Cake Decorating Magazine. She is also a pastry chef and food content creator focused on the sweet side of life: baking! After graduating from the Institute of Culinary Education, she spent more than a decade as a freelance baker and cake decorator before returning to school to focus on media. She earned her master’s degree in food studies from New York University and began her writing career with Pastry Arts Magazine. She is a cofounder, an editor, and a recipe developer for Pastry at Home, as well as a freelance writer for other food media outlets. She is thrilled for the opportunity to focus her attention on the highly creative and inspirational world of cake decorating!
AnnMarie lives in New York City with her boyfriend, a very large dog, and two adorable cats who have more Instagram followers than she does. She believes food should taste as good as it looks and sometimes eats cake scraps for dinner.
