Components:

  • white gumpaste
  • green 26 guage floral wire

  • edible glue

Christine says, “This is a miniature tutorial for very easy gypsophila and perfect for a fast filler flower. Life is simply too short to cut hundreds of tiny flowers, I hope you enjoy this easy cheat.”

Easy Gypsophila Tutorial

Easy Gypsophila Tutorial

  1. Cut 30 gauge wires into 8 pieces, each wire into 4.
  2. Roll small 1/4 inch balls of white gumpaste.
  3. Curl the very top end of your floral wire to create a hook, dip into edible glue, insert into gumpaste ball and secure to the wire.
  4. Place some desiccated coconut into a blender and blend until fine.
  5. Dip the balls of paste into edible glue and then immediately into the coconut.
  6. Place into a Styrofoam dummy and leave to dry.
  7. Cut a 26 gauge floral wire and slowly wire on the gypsophila flowers randomly to create a filler arrangement.

Christine’s Tip: To add the flowers, insert into your cake using a drinking straw or flower pick, this ensures your cake is food safe.
