We just had to take a closer look at the intricate hand painted details on Linasari Sweetlin’s March/April 2016 Showcase cake.
“My piece is inspired by Guo Pei dress and Li Xiao Feng ceramic dress but I also put another element of my personal design in between. I added blue peonies on top and also made one harmony ceramic color. I hand painted all the details and the design,” she said.

My name is Linasari Sunyoto, I’m a hobby caker and my cake art name is Sweetlin. I’m Indonesian and I live in Italy. I studied Visual Communication Design in Indonesia and I have a passion for sweets that I got from my mom who likes to bake. I have united my interest in design with my passion for 
sweets. I have an understanding that sweets must be delicious, but they also must be beautiful. I’m self-taught, but have also learned from famous cake designers and I’ve attended a pastry course to perfect my technique. I’ve also made tutorials and invented edible transparent lace that I sell through my Facebook shop. In 2013, I participated in the Real Time TV, a famous Italian TV program called My Cake Design: La Battaglia Dello Zucchero (Sugar Battle) and I won for my cake design. My work has been featured in many cake magazines and blogs such as Pretty Witty Cakes, Cake Masters, Wedding Cakes and Sugar Flowers, American Cake Decorating, Sweets Magazine, Cake Design France and many more.
