I’m the proud owner and artist behind Sweet Love Cake Couture, a specialist wedding cake provider based in the beautiful coastal town of Coffs Harbour on the North Coast of New South Wales in Australia. Like many in the industry, I discovered my love of cake artistry through my children. It wasn’t until I ordered a disaster cake for my eldest daughter’s first birthday that it occurred to me that I should try my hand at it myself. That was 13 years ago now and the rest, as they say, is history. I had always been a keen baker, following in the footsteps of my grandmother, Grandma Baker who is one of the best bakers I’ve ever known (for those of you who are wondering . . . yes her surname really was Baker, which was also my maiden name). My other grandmother, Grandma Lewis has also had a big influence on where I am today, fostering in me a love of nature and a deep appreciation of flowers. As a result, Sweet Love Cake Couture blossomed and has become renowned for creating pieces which are delicious (thanks Grandma Baker) and with a strong focus on sugar flower artistry (thanks Grandma Lewis). I’m truly grateful to live a life I love through cake artistry and I’m so proud to be able to share my journey and skills with you. I hope I can impart to you that same feeling of passion and excitement that I feel when creating beautiful pieces of edible art. Sending you Sweet Love . . . x Nic
