Black Magic Brownies

These deeply-dark black magic chocolate brownies are the perfect Halloween treat. Served warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry, they make for a devilish dessert!

Black Magic Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups AP flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/3 stick of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup black dutch cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp black gel color
  • 4 oz dark chocolate chips- melted and cooled

Method:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and butter and flour a pan

In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, cocoa, and sugar, add butter and mix for 1-2 minutes until mixture resembles black sand.

In a jug, mix eggs, vanilla, black food coloring, and milk until combined.

Pour into dry mixture and mix at low speed until combined, turn up the mixer and mix for 5 minutes.

Pour in cooled, melted chocolate and mix until combined.

Pour into greased baking pan and bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
