We’re starting the new year off with a bang! Our big news? American Cake Decorating has a new team at the helm.

First, let me introduce you to our fabulous publisher Karen.

Karen Griffiths brings with her over 30 years experience in the media industry. She previously served as Sales Director and Associate Publisher for American Cake Decorating and is now steering the ship as Publisher. You may have already met Karen at one of the many cake shows she’s attended for ACD. And if you haven’t met, stop by and say hi. She’s wonderful!

Now, please allow me to introduce myself!

I’m Junita Bognanni. I am ACD’s new Managing Editor.  I’ve been writing for the magazine for several years, while also working as a freelance food stylist. I studied creative writing and went on to work in publishing like every good English major. But one day my obsession with cookbooks got the best of me, so I left my job to study pastry at The Institute of Culinary Education. I’ve been writing and baking ever since.

I’m absolutely THRILLED to join such a vibrant, creative community of cake artists. I look forward to highlighting your inspiring work on the pages of American Cake Decorating and to celebrating not only the artistry, but the joy behind baking!
